Experience
I am currently living in Waltham, Massachusetts and doing my graduate studies at Brandeis University. I am working toward a master's degree in sustainable international development from the Heller School for Social Policy. My undergraduate work was completed at the University of Oregon, where I earned a bachelor's degree in international studies. I also studied at George Mason University, receiving an M.Ed. in special education. I have special education teaching experience with Teach for America, where I taught writing, reading, and mathematics in the fifth, sixth, and seventh grades. I particularly enjoy the opportunity to work with children individually, addressing specific problems not always noticed in a classroom setting. I like using hands-on methods and real-life examples in teaching. In my opinion, everyone can learn anything they're motivated to learn if given the right direction and tools.I am available to tutor math, English, social studies, related AP- and IB-level courses, and assist in preparation for the SAT.When I am not at school myself or working with students on their academics, I love to be outside. I play a variety of sports and also love to simply walk around town. I am also a huge foodie, and I love to try new and different types of food.
