ExperienceDear Students and Parents,
My name is Justin P. Three reasons to choose me as your Spanish, Algebra 1&2, SAT, or GRE Tutor are:
*I have nine years of public high school teaching experience and have worked extensively with hundreds of students over the years to boost their performance and help them to achieve excellent results. I hold a valid Massachusetts and Tennessee teaching license.
*I attended the #3 program in the country for Spanish at the University of Texas at Austin and completed my course of study with a 3.9/4.0 GPA. I completed one semester of doctoral work in Spanish in the #1-world-ranked Spanish program at Vanderbilt University.
*I am professional, easy to get along with, and most of all, concerned with making a difference in your life in terms of assisting you in achieving the results that you want - be it improved study habits, a higher grade in your subject matter, deeper understanding of the subject of your choice, and/or improved expository and academic writing skills.
My teaching method is Socratic - meaning that I am a firm believer, as was Socrates, that students need to have material presented to them in a clear, concise, and easy-to-follow format which is then refined through authentic, real-life application and practice. We do not just study the material you are studying in class all over again. We discuss it. We write about it. We think about it. We create authentic assessments and work products together. In short, for the time we work together, we completely immerse ourselves in the subject matter, be it Spanish, English, Algebra, SAT, GRE, or academic writing.
I own my own transportation and am willing to travel to you.
I am available via email to answer all your questions at any time.
I am ready to stand by you until you achieve the results you want and will not be satisfied with my own work until you tell me that you are 100% happy and satisfied with the results we have achieved.
If you feel that I am the tutor for you, please contact me via UniversityTutor.com to set up an appointment.
Thank you for your consideration.
HobbiesI am an avid reader. I read professional training and development books, books on how to improve business skills, great works of literature in Spanish and Portuguese and multiple blogs and news sources like the New York Times, Huffington Post, Time, and others. I go to the gym to run and swim a few times per week. I play the saxophone and the recorder for fun and also am into playing adventure and fantasy video games.
